Portal 2 : Emotioneering

In this critique we will discuss how the game Portal 2 has implemented concept of "Emotioneering"(1), with the use of mostly narrational background voice use of two robot NPCs. Which do not have any impact on the gameplay, rather just adds to the story of the game for the single player campaign. The critique will discuss the parts of the gameplay where the particular interactions with the robots make the player get attached with the game plot and the game itself emotionally. The critique will also discuss how it’s not done explicitly but in a very subtle way without much interaction that the player gets emotionally attached and starts having fun without even realizing the connection.
